Jasper wins the Gecko!

The raffle winner of our Kid's Day Echo Gecko fly rod outfit was Jasper Dutton. Out of all the kids who had participated, he was the one who came inside the shop, pulled on my shirt sleeve, and gently asked, “Which one is the raffle rod?” I took him over to the rod table and showed him one of the most fun to cast, user-friendly rods on the market that is advertised for kids, but kids of all ages really do enjoy its smooth, medium 4wt action.

This is a wonderful family that enjoys lots of time outdoors together.  Jasper and his family picked up the winning Echo Rod the following week and took it right out to the water! Jasper reported, “The rod is super fun! I really enjoy all types of fishing and water life, so being out on a boat or in the river helps me do that. Fishing makes me happy, and I love spending time with my family.”

She caught three bass on her very own Wooly Bugger that she whipped up at the Tyer's Table with Spencer on Kid's Day.
